Full closure of the Maroondah Highway
The Maroondah Highway will be closed in both directions between New Street and the EastLink interchange, Ringwood from: 9:00pm Friday 26 June to 9:00am Saturday 27 June. The closure is in place due to the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over the Maroondah Highway. Motorists are advised to use the Ringwood Bypass as an alternative route during the closure. As part of the M1 upgrade, the following lane closures will be in place on the West Gate Bridge commencing Monday 22 June until Monday 29 June inclusive: East-bound (city-bound) lane closures from 7:00pm to 7:00am each evening. As part of the M1 upgrade, the following ramp closures will be in place on the Monash Freeway between Monday 22 June and Sunday 28 June:
Burke Road west-bound entry ramp
The Burke Road west-bound entry ramp to the Monash Freeway will be closed on the following: Monday 22 June 8:00pm to 4:00am ; Tuesday 23 June 8:00pm to 4:00am ; Wednesday 24 June 8:00pm to 4:00am
Toorak Road east-bound entry ramp The Toorak Road east-bound entry ramp will be closed on the following: Saturday 27 June 8:00am to 5:00pm ; Sunday 28 June 8:00am to 5:00pm
Closure of St Georges Road inbound-right turn lane at Bell Street, Preston
VicRoads would like to advise motorists that the St Georges Road, inbound-right turn lane (into Bell Street) will be closed between 9:30am to 3:30pm until late July.
Changed traffic conditions on Shepparton Alternative Route (Doyles Road) between Midland Hwy and Old Dookie Rd, Shepparton East
The changed traffic conditions, which will include single lane closures, will begin on 26 May 2009 and will be completed by early July 2009. For the duration of the works B-Doubles travelling north or south on the Goulburn Valley Highway will be permitted to use Wyndham Street as an alternative route to avoid delays.
Lane closures at Church Street Bridge, Richmond
The following closure will be in place throughout early May and late July 2009:
Church Street Bridge
- lane closures with one lane remaining open to traffic in either direction
- Right turn movements from Church Street south-bound into Alexandra Avenue towards the City will be prohibited during the works
Temporary lane closures on Chapel Street, South Yarra
VicRoads advises drivers of road works and delays on Chapel Street, South Yarra from 22 June until the end of August. The left lane heading south will be closed between Malcolm Street and Daley Street due to building construction work. Speed limit reduced on Bolte Bridge as part of $1.39 billion Monash-CityLink- West Gate upgrade
Motorists are advised the speed limit on the Bolte Bridge will reduced to 80 km/h to facilitate works as part of the Monash-CityLink-West Gate (M1) upgrade. The new 80k limit will commence just after the Footscray Road off-ramp on the southbound carriageway (heading towards Bolte Bridge). The limit will remain at 80km/h through to the West Gate Freeway (which is already at 80km/h).
Montague Street on ramp – city bound – FULL CLOSURE
As part of the $1.39 billion upgrade to the Monash-CityLink-West Gate freeway the onramp from Montague Street on to the West Gate Freeway will be fully closed. The closure will be in place from Sunday 17 May, 10.00pm for approximately 6 months. Details of the diversion routes are available at http://www.mcwupgrade.com.au and via onsite detour signage.
